Edublogs has grown from a single idea in 2005 into the largest and most trusted provider of educational blogging in the world.
We believe in the power that blogging can have to transform the educational experience of students and have seen first hand how Edublogs have increased ownership of learning, engaged students, and become a source of pride in the classroom.
Based in Australia, but with employees located all over the globe, the Edublogs team consists of some of the best technological and educational minds in the biz. We are happy to talk with you about blogging, Edublogs Campus, or anything else you might like to send our way.
Get To Know the Edublogs Team

James is the Founder and CEO of Edublogs. He’s worked previously as a teacher, Lecturer in Education Design at Deakin University and Online Community Editor of The Age. He´s based in Melbourne, Australia and when not immersed in Edublogs-related-thought likes hanging with his girls, playing Wii (often with said girls) and roaming around Melbourne.

Sue is the force behind The Edublogger (our official ‘how to’ blog) and also the seriously well-respected author of the Edublog Mobile Technology in TAFE. She’s Australian, based in Perth, married with two kids and while not blogging works both with fish and other lecturers doing PD around e-learning, m-learning and everything in between.

Lorraine looks after the marketing, look and feel and all those ungeeky elements of Edublogs without which we’d be completely stuffed. She’s got a background as a sales exec, entrepreneur and business owner and is the vision behind our development and success. While not critiquing sustainable business models, Lol paints, draws and designs.

Ronnie is the man behind most of our newsletters, posts, tweets, and facebook fan page and works to improve the educational experience of Edublogs. Prior to joining the Edublogs team, he used Edublogs in the classroom as a teacher where he has taught at the secondary and undergraduate levels in the US and Mexico. Ronnie is a longhorn football obsessed native of the great state of Texas.

Aaron is responsible for the systems that manage Edublogs free and pro accounts, as well as countless other innovations and custom functionality which Edublogs users enjoy. He’s a critical member of the Edublogs and WPMU DEV team and while not at the keyboard enjoys travel and is the founder of the award winning MissionsPlace.com.

Michael is the person who makes Edublogs tick. He’s responsible for our extensive server configuration, caching, performance and security at Edublogs as well as working extensively on Campus, SSO configuration and anything of significance that we do. Previously a core SysAdmin at the NYTimes.com, he’s based in Brooklyn, NY.

Barry is a core developer with Edublogs, looking after plugins and the development of new functionality. While not strapped to a keyboard he’s interested in the WordPress community, Twitter, and occasionally dressing up like Santa.

Moha is a developer for Edublogs with an eye across a whole heap of projects, providing excellent support and an aim to be the quickest coder in the, erm, east. He’s based just outside Colombo in Sri Lanka and loves gadgets and interested in all things open source.

Vladislav lives in Zrenjanin, Banat, Serbia and comes from a languages and theory of literature background, but he picked up programming as a passion along the way and stuck with it. He’s still fascinated with being able to order machines to do his bidding, and is always looking for new ways to improve in that. His other interests include social theory and noisy music, and he also enjoys cooking, gardening and making beautiful music go *brzzrrtt*.

Andrey is based in a small town in the Ukraine. After school, he made a difficult decision between being a programmer or being a chef. He’s glad he stuck with programming because he still gets to cook for himself. He enjoys video games, fishing, and making people happy with his plugins and development work.

Richie handles theme design, graphics and coding for Edublogs. He’s based in Malaysia and loves playing video games and watching movies in his free time…and occasionally reading PHP and coding books from Amazon.

Tammie is a pixel obsessed designer by day whose been in the industry since the web was all about animated gifs and text browsers. Her passion in design is colour and layout and she can often be found getting far too excited about colour schemes. In her downtime she runs, is an avid photographer and loves spending time with her 2 dogs.

Ryan is a graphic/web designer based in Melbourne, Australia. He has 2 major goals in life. First, continue to watch his beloved Geelong Cats dominate the Australian Football League. Second, own a Daft Punk robot costume.

Mason is passionate about helping people find the right tool for the job. He works tirelessly for Edublogs and WPMU DEV creating solutions and resources for users. When not attached to the computer you’ll probably find him playing music somewhere. He’s a classically trained pianist, also enjoys playing guitar and hanging in a coffee shop looking for good conversation.

Phil helps our users out however he can, making sure they get the most out of their blogs. He’s a bit of a WordPress and WPMU DEV/Incsub evangelist, extolling the benefits whenever people will listen. In his spare time he can be soon doing things with hyperlocal news in the UK or reading books about psychology.

David is the man behind many of our support videos and generally helps our users out. He can often be seen answering emails in the wee hours of the night because he’s too excited about WordPress and WPMU DEV developments to sleep. In the rest of his spare time he might be seen creating sounds in FLStudio or making silly websites with WordPress.
