Paragraph of the Week – 06/12/2021

The quote for this week’s Paragraph of the Week-

“The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.” -Mark Twain (author)

The question that should be answerd, based on this quote is-

Do you agree with this quote? Why or why not? Provide an example from your own life that supports your reasoning.

My Paragraph of the Week

I don’t agree with the quote that is mentioned above because I think that cheering someone else up might make you feel good about yourself for doing something nice, but it probably wouldn’t cheer you up. If other people tried to cheer me up, it would probably work better than me trying to cheer other poeple up so I can get cheered up myself. I rememeber once, me and my friend both got hurt and we were sad. My friend was more sad than me, and I was trying to cheer her up. It had a small effect- I managed to cheer her up, but it didn’t cheer me up. Than, as a payback, she tried to cheer me up, and this was the point where I got cheered up- when she was the one cheering me up.
