Auto Twitter Updates

Hi
In the past day or two, I noticed that my blog is not auto-posting my blog posts to Twitter. It seemed to work earlier this week and then stopped yesterday (Thurs), as far as I can tell.

My blog is at http://dogtrax.edublogs.org

I checked my Twitter settings and it seemed to be working fine on the back end.

Thanks
Kevin

PS -- I searched the forums but did not see anything recent about this.

Hmmm, works for me:

(I do see though that setting Give Twitter Tools credit? to off doesn't matter as credit is given. Have to admit that bugs me as I'm not an Alex King fan. James?)

I do see there's an option on Dashboard -> Settings -> Twitter Tools -> "Category for tweet posts:" that I don;t recall from before hand. It looks like on Posts with that category selected get sent over to Twitter. Is that set for you and are using using that category for Posts that you want announced?

Hi Doc

I think that Twitter category setting is if you use your Blog just to Tweet, which I don't do. Instead, I had my blog set so that when I posted a new post, the post headline and a link would show up automatically as a Tweet from me. That is what does not seem to be working.
I even double-checked to make sure that the box below the Create a Post text box is checked (it is and it was).
I'm going to do another test here and see if it works.

Ok
So, now it worked. I posted a test and it showed up in my Twitter.
Maybe there was some virtual kink in the system that righted itself.
Sorry to bother ya.
Have a great day
Kevin

Not a problem. It may have also been an overload issue with Twitter. Could have been lots of things actually. Glad it's working for you. Please let us know if it stops again.
