Audio and Video Comment Plug-in

Just came across this WordPress plug-in that allows users to leave audio and video comments to posts. I'd love to see something similar to this added Edublogs.

While it does look interesting, I politely point you to the Term of Service on their site and point out the bit under Copyright where you sign away all rights to your videos and the contents within them:

Usually stuff like that doesn't fly too well with the blogging crowd.

I dunno, I can't think it's a fair trade off for the simplicity actually.

@nathantoft Sent your feedback to James yesterday. He liked the idea so checked out the plugin yesterday. Then today he got me to test it on a range of blog themes and Web Browsers. Appears to be working fine so it has been added to the plugin area for Edublogs supporters. At the moment it is beta.

Sue Waters

I'm sure that Sue will be throwing up a test post shortly. :)

Wow!

I went my dashboard and saw that you added the plug-in already. What a great surprise. Talk about service. Post an idea and a day later there it is.

Thanks for this James. Thanks as well to Sue and Dr. Mike for checking it out in more depth as well.

I look forward to testing it.

I've been trying it out - looks great! I think you can only comment once, though. I didn't like the first one and deleted it, but when i tried again it reverted to the original (deleted) comment effort. I managed to add more by shutting down the computer and re-commenting. Check out my effort here:

Unfortunately I've removed the plugin. When I showed my effort to colleagues at work today, I wasn't impressed by the inappropriate ads (striptease and poker, or something similar). I know that pupils visit my blog so it had to go. Pity!

mvass, you may want to forward that comment over towards the riffly folks. While mentioning it here with James is fine, the riffly folks are the ones who control those adverts.

edit: James mentions the adverts in the sticky. He's probably already seen them:
