Just the theme I'm afraid, do you have a URL we can check?
I listed whaledone.edublogs.org above, do you need something else?
http://whaledone.edublogs.org/2007/09/17/hello-world/#comments displays comments just fine, and the link seems OK off the front page... am confused, anyone else?
I don' know of any theme which displays comments for posts without clicking on the post (viewing only the post for which one wishes to read the comments.)
Hello,
Somewhat relatedly, I am attempting to have my students' most recent comments appear at the top of the comment pile (under the page contents). Instead, when they make a comment, they either can click on the link for the specific comment, or, navigate all the way to the bottom of the page.
Page URL is http://madwordsnow.edublogs.org/ela/
Thanks so much,
Tim Madden
Tim, this is covered in this thread:

(Have to admit that I'm sorry that you searched as the thread was on the front page of the forums. Thank you for searching though. It helps us help you when folks do search first.)
The recent upgrading of the software did not cover the themes and James is working on that and the addition of additional themes.
You can try changing the setting at Dashboard -> Settings -> I believe it's under Discussions. I'm beginning to wonder if the setting for threaded comments interferes with the order settings. Hmmm....
You must log in to post.
I'm using the Ocean theme and while I have the options set to display the most recent posts, any comments to that post are not displayed directly under the post on the page. Instead, a reader must click the link under "Recent Comments" to view them. Is this just a characteristic of the theme or is there a setting that I can change to have the comments appear under the post? whaledone.edublogs.org Thanks.
