In the appearance section, under custom header, it informs me:

"This is your header image. You can change the text color or upload and crop a new image."

I don't want to touch my image - just change the color of the name of my blog (Hathead) since it is currently appearing in such a pale font one cannot easily read it.
i don't see where i can do that. My blog is:

I would love to know if anyone else has had this problem at their school. We use Edublogs for teachers and students frequently go on their teachers' blogs to download assignments, missed work, homework, etc.

When we first started with EduBlogs, the kids (who are using IE7--we do not have the option to use another browser) would try to click on links that open in a NEW window. When they clicked on them, the window that they were trying to open would immediately close out, plus the original IE window would also close. (Links that open in the same window were not problematic.)

Our county finally fixed this problem. Now we have another, similar problem that they can't seem to fix. When students click on a link to open/download any kind of file, like a Word or Excel document, it looks like the program is going to open (very briefly), then the whole program/file closes as well as the original IE window. This only happens when a student is in an EduBlogs blog...it doesn't happen if they are trying to open/download a file through another website.

Any advice or similar situations? Any fixes? Thanks!

Hi,

Our school has just set up class blogs. At home , my son can see the links for the adverts which pop up. However, in the classroom the teacher does not see these links and therefore can't help in stopping them appearing. What is the difference between the class computer and visitng the blog at home. blog url is http://www.jvw3.edublogs.org.

Hello everyone:

I am currently a teacher in Thailand. We do NOT get paid what you get paid in the states or Europe. Please consider that all teacher resources in 3rd world countries are very tight.

I know you think $4.00 a month is nothing, but here it is 140 baht a month or 1680 baht per year. It is not affordable since I make about 6000 to 8000 baht a month...it is not in budget with the economy the way it is.

Review your pricing for teachers in third world countries or I will just have to use a free blog site for me and my students and delete this account.

Sincerely,

Over the past couple of days, my pupils have been telling me that when they've tried to upload audio files to our blog (marybankseniors.edublogs.org/) , it doesn't seem to work! I had a go myself and right enough, when you follow the normal procedures and click on 'insert in post', all that appears is the text description of the audio file with no ability to actually play or listen to the file.
I know that it was working fine a couple of weeks ago as I was presenting to a group of teachers and demonstrated how to add audio, so it only seems to be a very recent issue for us. Can you advise or have a look for us and see if you get the same problem?
Many thanks in advance,

My blog is rose.edublogs.org. I am a teacher at an American International School, and all my students have blogs. I have paid for Supporter status (in case that is relevant).

I am very interested in several Wordpress themes that are not part of the standard 100 offered in Edublogs: AHIMSA, ATAHUALPA, INOVE, and ORIENTAL.

I have 2 questions:
a) can these be offered as part of the Edublogs themes?
b) after downloading these themes (as I have), is their some way I can use them in my edublog even if they are not part of the regular choice offered?

Hi,

Last term I set up a host of blogs for one of my classes, listing myself as Administrator. I now have a new cohort of students and while I don't want to delete the blogs of my old students, I no longer need or want access to them. I have tried repeatedly to delete myself as Administrator (Users > Authors & Users) but I always get the following error msg:

You have specified these users for deletion:

    * ID #66044: brettf The current user will not be deleted.

There are no valid users selected for deletion.

I am checking the box next to my name and clicking on the delete button so not sure what is happening. Any advice on what I need to do here would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Brett

I recently upgraded to Edublogs Supporter, paying the $39. fee through paypal. Now, I have a couple other teachers who want to upgrade. I noticed that I could have done a bulk upgrade. Can I upgrade to the bulk upgrade at this point?

Is the option to "Leave A Reply" embedded in the design of a page template itself? I am trying to get this feature to show up on a page,

http://librarymapping.edublogs.org/suggestions/

I have checked the "Allow Comments" box for this individual page, but I don't see the option to "Leave A Reply" like I do on this page:

http://calibrarybookclub.edublogs.org/about/

Am I missing something, or is the option to integrate "Leave A Reply" just not something that's available with this particular template (Dignity 1.0 by ThemeBox.org)?

Last year I added all of my students to my blog. When I added them I put in their username and a mock gmail email. After that they were added to my user tab (dashboard) and could access their account through my blog - giving me full control over what was added. I tried to do that again this year and I am getting a new password for each child. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks!

I have only been using Web 2.0 applications since Jan. 2008. I've been learning how to blog, create wikis and other on-line things for myself. I am using this blog to write about various education topics/issues.
I am a new teacher-librarian and hope to use Inspiration as part of a field study for my grad diploma and work on becoming brave enough to bring students online.
