Okay, if I delete my blog will that stop the payments? I'd forgotten I even had this until I received the notification I was billed the 39.95. I don't use this anymore-as a school we are using something different.

Thanks!

My blog has been temporarily unavailable for the past week now! I am creating it for my enjoyment and for a class, but I am having this frustrating problem and lagging behind. Is there anyway you can fix this problem? Blog name is Yania in Realityland and the URL is

Sorry I'm a bit confused as I'm not quite sure why you want them to set up FeedBurner and add each other inside FeedBurner?

If you just want them to subscribe to each others blog using a Feed Reader you can already do without even using FeedBurner. All blogs automatically have RSS feeds.

For example if you are using Google Reader when you add the blog URL to Google Reader it automatically finds the RSS feed and will detect the blog title correctly,

Here is more information on how to subscribe to blogs using Google Reader - http://suewaters.wikispaces.com/workshopsubscribe

If you are having trouble with specific blogs - can you give me some of their blog URLs so I can check them for you?

I am working with a class to set up blogs for each of the students. I want them to be able to add each other's blogs to their feedburners, but half of the blogs come up with 'RSS 2.0' or a similar 'title', even though the blog has a regular title. How do I get the blog title to show up on the feedburner?

That's cool. It does look like when you search for 'test' and 'test.edublogs.org', the same results appear so either the system is checking for the 'edublogs.org' bit and either removing it or adding it in. Can the same be done for the 'http://' bit?

Oops sorry Dr Mike. We now have a Premium Support email system for Edublogs supporters and Ms H email us either before or after posting here in the forum and unfortunately I didn't realise.

The issue was related to how the blog URL was being entered. She was including the http:// at the front of the URL instead of adding as say theedublogger.edublogs.org

As an aside, James the search box on /wp-admin/supporter.php?page=ads is lost and not clearly visible. At least with Firefox 3.6. Can the outline of the box be made bold or something like that?

On iPhone. Walking home. Excuse shortness.

Short answer: no unless have account and higher access like editor. Probably not good idea as be able to edit all comments, not just theirs.

Even fancy JavaScript comment plugin nit work as two locations involved. Those plugins allow edit access fir say klike 90 minutes but only for original location.

Solution? Maybe cheap batch of flash drives 64megs? Buck a piece on line if find right supplier and but in bulk.

Maybe sue have idea.

Hello Group!

I've got a fellow teacher blogger that wants her students to be able to edit their comments. The students often begin to comment at school but cannot finish their comment at school and would like to edit it at home.

At this point, the students do not have user accounts. They submit their unfinished comments and have to wait to come back to school for their teacher to go into the teacher account to let them edit and finish their comments.

I'm not sure if the teacher would want to make user accounts for each student.

Any and all ideas would be helpful! Thank you!

Do realize that there's two different options though that you need to decide between:

"I would like only logged in users to see my blog." That would allow those who have registered with edublogs to be able to access your blog.

"I would like only logged in users who are registered subscribers to see my blog." Only those who you have added in at Dashboard -> Users will have access to your blog. And edublogs staff as well.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the file. I tried to change it over to *.mp4 and even that didn't work. I can upload it into my space elsewhere if you want. That would at least get it online and you can use it elsewhere.

I emailed James about the issue. I was hoping he would post here but he emailed me back to say that they're aware of the problems with the site and were having issues with getting it resolved with the phpmotion (That's the software that runs that site.) community.

I'm suspecting that it might be something to do with the fact that this project was first created with Pixie2 then exported as a .mov file.

Not knowing enough about the "under the hood" stuff here, it just seems peculiar that I have no trouble with uploading other .mov files, just the one originally created with Pixie2.

Got the file. Thanks and sorry to be a pain about delivery.

I can't get it to play either in *.mov. I get the 2 seconds file size as well. Let me try making it into an *.mp4 and see if that works.

edit: If anyone is playing along at home, the video plays fine locally for me as well.

Without knowing what theme you;re running, it;s hard to give an answer. But if you;re talking about the Page tabs like along the top of most themes, those are hard coded into the theme to either display the child pages or not. It's not something that end users can normally switch back and forth from.

How can I set my page tabs so that they show a dropdown for the other pages under the parent page?

Actually you sent it via a download service, one blocked as being a sex/porn site. (Most of them are for me. Gotta love my library.) One of the reasons why I asked for it via an email.

I'll see if I can grab it via proxy. Not having much luck though.

Hi Dan and Dr Mike as mentioned above Riffly.com who supplies the Audio and Video comments plugin appear to be having troubles.

They haven't released any information about it but until they resolve there issues we aren't able to solve it as they are the suppliers of this feature.

drmike,

Thank you for the response. Here is the link to a post that has video comments that do not work. One is from me done at school while another one is from a student created at home.

http://mrlund.edublogs.org/2010/01/25/updates-updates-updates/#comments

As for the code, I am not using any???? Being a supporter, I just activated the plugin. Should I be doing some different?

Thank you for the help.
