When I was constructing my teapot I had to overcome problems. I also had to plan. There were a limited number of underglazes because the year was almost over. I also had to overcome the problem of me only being able to glaze my teapot with glazes that would work with bone dry clay. I decided to paint stripes of varying colors with varying thicknesses using bright underglazes. To ensure I had a straight line for the stripes I used a ruler. I planned using varying ruler widths to help me form varying stripe widths. I wanted to use bright colors and for the teapot to look like it had been dipped in different colors. I left the top part the natural clay color because  I wanted the teapot to look like it had been dipped in color just not to the very top. It looks like it is submerging out of the color. Overall I was pleased with the results of my glaze work.
