Unfortunately, EduSpaces announced today that they’re shutting up shop in January.
Needless to say that leaves a lot of bloggers looking for a new home… and we’d like to extend them all a warm welcome here :)
One blogger who’s already made the move, Alicia Wyatt, has posted a quick ‘how to’ (and associated issues) for moving from EduSpaces to edublogs.
And if you get stuck / need some extra help please feel free to contact us at support (at) edublogs /dot/ org for assistance.

Well,
I read it and found out that it is not closing, accordingto: http://eduspaces.net/mod/vanillaforum/vanilla/comments.php?DiscussionID=53
Why don’t you go and take a look at it?
Thanks!
P.S. Also, having a space at edublog is helpful.
Hello.
I have just started a blog with wordpress. I need more flexibility than the one I’m getting at wordpress, what do you recommend? Would I need a different url to make the move to Edublog (I’d have to get to know Edublog first)?
Thanks,
JLucas
We do a pretty good job, sign up (it’s free) and have a play.
I probably will, James. You are quick in your replies. That’s always a good thing for busy teachers.
But I’ll have to give my colleagues a new url, won’t I? My blog at Wordpress has just been born, didn’t want to kill it right now.
As for tools, I guess I’ll have the same with Wordpress or Edublog, right?
JLucas
Heh, you get *a lot* more tool with edublogs, just take a look around!
Edublogs is a great platform!
