Hi James,

Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm learning to do things the quick way (?), so have 'copied and pasted' comments from the class blog!

From John at
http://www.sandaigprimary.co.uk/pivot/johnjohnston.php

'Hi Guys,
I love the reading well done, sound like you have really practiced. It is a great poem for reading aloud.

I got the middle flash player to work but Nathan and Marc sound like pinky and perk I think that you need to have the rate set to a multiple of 10000 hz for a mp3 to play in flash.
The other two players didn’t work for me.
No matter the text links worked and sounded super. '

2. p7teach - January 29, 2007
Thanks, John

I’m still confused! If I listen to the podcast about our graph (January 17th), the icon works fine. I don’t usually touch the ‘rate’ setting, but I’ve tried it at different rates this time and the icons still don’t work. We’ve put a few podcasts on previously and we always do it the same way …. I left a comment on http://edublogs.org/2006/12/14/podcasts-now-playable-downloadable/#comments
and James left this comment
‘I managed to get one of them to work - but it was very speedy indeed… I’m guessing it’s a problem with the mp3s?

You also have a lot of RockYou downloads going on… they could be impeding it by taking a while to download.’

I don’t think it’s the mp3’s because the text links work fine? RockYou doesn’t interfere with previous podcasts….. oh well, at least we can hear the poems!!

Great blog BTW! Have a play with different browsers and the file and let me know how you go.

I'd really appreciate some help. I've previously managed to put podcasts on our class blog - but the 'audio' icon doesn't work any more? The podcast can play if the link is pressed, but the icon either doesn't work or has the chipmunk effect mentioned earlier. I've tried it both ways ... using our wiki as a host, or uploading from the pc.

I get there through 'trial and error' methods, so require a very simple explanation if I'm doing something different from usual (but really can't think what!)

Check out our Scottish poem links at http://carronshore.edublogs.org/

Never mind. The problem was in the voice recording software (WildVoice Studio). When I used a different export method it worked fine.

The inline MP3 player is playing at 2 or 3X on my blog. It sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks. The downloaded files play fine on Quicktime or Windows Media Player. How can I fix this? My blog is at:

This is separate from Talkr - for mp3 files you upload or link to yourself.

Podpress does my nut in too. Personally like.
